We’ve lined up some amazing prizes for our Halloween Dance-o-thon! Every student will be entered in this school-wide draw. Students will earn additional tickets by raising money toward our fundraising goal. Funds raised will support activities throughout the school and the year!

Gr. 3s know we use plants for many different things like for food, medicine, to build shelter and furniture & making clothing. Plants are helpful! 🪴 ✅ But some may be harmful. ❌ This is part of their adaptation!

Word Building Mats are ready to go! Students learn different phonemes over time and use them to encode words. We build our decoding skills through decodable books & literacy games that focus on specific skills. Thanks UF Literacy Institute for the explicit phonics program 👏🏼

UPDATE❗️A tentative agreement has been reached b/w CUPE & the province! This means 𝗛𝗖𝗗𝗦𝗕 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟭𝘀𝘁. An email will follow to all HCDSB staff & parents/guardians.

Thanks to our student led equity team we have some new pencil crayons, “Colours of the World”. Just in time for our cookbook self-portraits! We had a great discussion about all the different, beautiful skin colours in our class and the world.

Great job to the Mental Health Team at St. Gregory and to my fabulous, artistic students on their contest winning Anti-Bullying poster! We can BEE buddies, not bullies! 🐝 Can’t wait to set up our prize, a Buddha Board for our wellness corner.

Feeling inspired after wonderful professional learning about MindUP and Flyleaf Publishing HCDSB Mental Health & Well-Being St. Gregory

Our grade 3s had a great day at Crawford Lake learning about the rich indigenous history on the land.

Our class was giggling all the way through literacy this morning continuing on with our Procedural Writing unit. We finished off “How to Brush Your Teeth” with some fun demonstrations, I acted out their steps EXACTLY as written! St. Gregory
