Every few months, a story pops up across Canada, that indicates cannabis legalization has led to higher numbers of child hospitalizations. While these 2 things may be true, we don't believe one caused the other. This story is intentionally misleading 1/2 ow.ly/PUYq50Ktf5y

Yesterday's news story from CBC cited a study from the New England Journal of Medicine that only looks at hospitalization data. To not evaluate any other data is irresponsible. Read our comments on why we believe the causal relationship is spurious. 2/2 ow.ly/PUYq50Ktf5y

There is momentum to create change if we are unified voice. So many things coming to a head. Cannabis Act Review, CBD/CHPs, Industry Table with ISED, challenges in Ontario and BC with wholesale. Big change with big collaboration.

I completely agree that accountability is crucial. That is why we should focus on the politicians, bureaucrats, influencers and regulators that have created a regime that all in the sector are chaffing under. Therefore, let’s find commonality, create change and sustainability.

This right here is the biggest problem for the sector. Those that wrote the rules, set the non-negotiable fees and taxation, don’t do education and gave themselves monopoly are the ones making all the money. Provincial fees, taxation and monopolies are breaking the system.
