So ANY & ALL uk sports still prioritising men’s feelings over women & girls safety & fairness in sport are 100% guilty of sex discrimination. Uk law has always protected the right to equal opportunities for female athletes. Stonewall have done their best to miss represent it.

In athletics, British Athletics now has a good policy banning all post-puberty males from the Female category, but sadly numerous males are ignoring it & still racing in the Female category. #savewomenssports

And to Miriam Cates for her call for sporting bodies to be provided with clear guidance on interpretation of the Equality Act 2010.

“It is lawful to exclude all males from female sport to achieve safety and fairness for women and girls.”

New RSHE guidance will ­include an explicit ban on teaching children about gender identity.

Schools will be warned that gender identity is a highly contested area and that teaching children about it could have damaging implications.

This is powerful, essential stuff. Most of us (I think) feel quite powerless on this issue.
This is an important speech. I hope it gets noticed.

But many well-meaning organisations and children’s charities also oppose banning social media for kids, claiming there are benefits for ‘vulnerable’ children. But this is hopelessly naïve. The more vulnerable the child, the more dangerous the online world. 14/16
