The manticore yawns and stretches after the dragon's form returned to normal. "Dont worry, I believe you." The wings on her back flap slowly and she lays back down on her rock, crossing her legs casually. "The hell is an... Ag... n'arath?" She asks, looking puzzled.

It is pretty hard to clean deep in all that fur, what a nice little slime!

She's just casually stood there, letting the little goo do it's thing~

"Yep, effortlessly so~"

"It's quite strange that you say that, and yet I'm still not phased. Even if you *somehow* did have a better tail, which is quite a funny joke, you lack the experience. You're practically a child playing in a pit of sand compared to me."

"Wakey wakey, Rise and shine~" The manticore licks her lips hungrily. "I was going to wait for you to wake up, but then I got bored. A couple of doses of venom seems to have woken you up good and proper though~ who knows what it did to your dream, but you already came once!~"

"Ufufu~ look how pouty you are too!~ you must be a heavy sleeper, I jabbed you seven times before you started waking up~" While she's pinning the other down, her tail moves in and pokes the side of her neck. Obviously the venom doesn't have an effect, but its not about that.

The manticore has wandered onto a nice hot sunny public beach for a snooze on the sand. All the other beach-goers are doing the smart thing and giving her a wide berth. Her tail slowly thumps on the sand repeatedly...

"And if you're not careful, talking about them makes them appear~" A smug voice says from behind the Knight. It's obviously not how it works, but she's heard superstitious travellers say that on their wagons before she ambushes them... so maybe there's some truth to it?

"I think there are more pressing matters you should be worried about~" The beast stalks closer to him slowly, with a wild grin. Raising her tail over her head 'like an anglerfish'. Thick clear goo slops out of the tail's opening onto the ground between them with a wet slap.

She looks at him for a moment... thinking... nope! She doesn't remember what that word means. Something about weighing or digging stuff up, but that hardly seems relevant. "I just woke up, and I'm ravenously hungry~ even something small like you will have to do for now~"

She glares at him... seeming to be weighing up her options... "Would I have to wait for you to hunt the meat, or do you have it already?" She asks suspiciously, sniffing in his direction... The tail has moved back down behind her back, it left a trickle of goo on her shoulder.

Without any warning she pounces at him, attempting to knock him to the ground and pin him beneath her with the weight of her body. "I'm not stupid, you're just trying to find an opportunity to get away, not this time! A meal in the paw is better than two on the... nevermind!"

A certain someone who knows who they are revived my desire to provide quality medical care to beings all across the multiverse... Perhaps I should hire another doctor to assist me in my work...

Is there anything more that needs to be said?

"You're all mine now~ It's too late~" The Manticore eagerly watches the expression on her prey's face. "Lay back and accept defeat like a good boy~ I promise it'll feel real good~ If you behave I'll even stop juuust before the last little bit of life force leaves your body~"

People travelling through the Manticore's territory have started bringing offerings with them to appease her. Sometimes it even works and she only drains them until they pass out. Sacrifices have a higher success rate though.
