And the inconveniences you cause by not delivering the suitcases. The frustration in trying to get help. The exasperation of having no one to talk to. The irritation in your lack of action...

I was given a forwarding detail for a flight this morning 2 hours ago. Flight has almost landed in Riga and my suitcase is still in Copenhagen. #fail

Still no idea why it hasn't gotten here - but they have now finally tried to follow up directly with origin team. Elina w/airBaltic at RIX was super helpful - BUT, it took me going to airport (in person!), AND getting a ticket agent to take me into lost and found to reach her.

Las negociaciones sobre el tratado global de plásticos no son un debate técnico. Son una decisión moral: ¿deteneremos la contaminación en su origen o condenaremos a comunidades y ecosistemas a seguir respirando, comiendo y bebiendo veneno?

Update: one bag was delivered to me, and the Greenland bag was returned to Copenhagen, but no ETA on delivery yet. It's now been 48 hours airBaltic - and, no news / no help / no anything. #fail

Today marks the 36th anniversary of the Baltic Way, when 2 million people joined hands across Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania in a powerful stand for freedom and independence, and against Soviet occupation. A historic moment of unity and resilience! 🇪🇪🇱🇻🇱🇹 #BalticWay36

On 23 August 1989, two million Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians joined hands from Tallinn to Vilnius. The Baltic Way showed the world that fifty years after the Molotov Ribbentrop Pact the three nations demanded their freedom. Two years later they got it back. 🇪🇪🇱🇻🇱🇹

Undocumented people don’t need to be exceptional to deserve respect. Yet, undocumented people are inherently exceptional. Leaving it all behind for the chance at a more dignified life in a deeply hostile country where they have to survive without safety nets. That’s exceptional.

“THIS IS WAR.” “Civil war.” “The Left is the party of murder.” “The Left won’t stop unless it’s forced to.” Influential figures across the right have decided to use Charlie Kirk’s death to promote their fantasies of war and retribution against Democrats and leftists.

One side: “this is horrible, unacceptable, we all need to tone it down.” The other side: ‘this is war. We need to crush all the radicals responsible.” Don’t tell me both sides are the same.

A few years ago, Jon Stewart said: “Comedy doesn’t change the world, but it’s a bellwether. When a society feels under threat, comedians are who gets sent away first.” He was right.
