Juan Manuel Ortiz. A Super Ally signing who played a handful of games. Scored a tap in away to Maribor in a 2-1 defeat. As useful as a Dens Park fire alarm

Jérôme Bonnissel. Played left back in the league cup final 20 years ago. First trophy en route to a treble. I have no recollection of him playing in any other match, do you?

Matt Crooks. Came with Windass from Accrington Stanley and had us all excited. Played less than 100 minutes for the club and therefore provided us all with less satisfaction than the Aberdeen ticket office has. Has went on to have a solid career down south.

Federico Nieto. The 🇦🇷 striker made a handful appearances in 2005 including coming off the bench in the San Siro. 1 league goal and a brace in ET in the league cup against Clyde his only notable contributions. We were linked with some Argentinian wonder kid at a similar time…

Tom Walsh. The 3rd youngest player to play for Rangers after Derek Ferguson & Bailey Rice. Got a fair bit of game time during the 1st Championship season and actually started Warburton’s first league game. Most recently with Inverness CT.

José-Karl Pierre-Fanfan. The Martinique international CB signed with promise after playing for Monaco & PSG before joining. Scored on his league debut vs Livingston and then enjoyed an Old Firm win at Ibrox. That was pretty much it. Now a pundit with CANAL+.

Andrius Velička. Signed for c.£1m. Didn’t play that much but did tend to score when he did. An early goal in a cup semi and a peach at Easter Road stand out. Only European appearance was against his former club Kaunas 😱 Was loaned to Aberdeen in a swap deal for Ricky Foster 😱😱

Ovie Ejaria. The Liverpool loanee was brought in by Gerrard. A screamer to take us to the Europa in that long afternoon in Ufa (although did we not miss it due to pictures cutting out?). Loan ended in December after he failed to make impact. Now at bottom of League 1 Reading

Matt McKay. The 59 cap Aussie’s only venture in Europe was 150 minutes at Ibrox and 5 mins at Tannadice. A sweet cross for a Jelavic header wasn’t worth the 10K mile journey from Brisbane. Now sells baby equipment for a living.

Maciej Gostomski. The Pole signed a 6 month deal by Warburton as cover for Foderingham after being on trial the previous year. Was on the bench for the next game against Cowdenbeath in the cup and then never seen again. Before joining he had given up football to be a fisherman…

Haris Vuckic. The Slovenian signed as part of the (not at all dodgy) Newcastle 5 on deadline day in the January window, he was a rare bright spark in 2014/15 season. Scored some wonderful curling efforts which seemed to be his trademark. Still playing ... in Thailand obviously
