KF1 did a brilliant job Monday performing in the Rememberance Day Assembly. ✌🏽💜

Wow what a week! Thank you so much to all of the parents who came in for observations. It was great having you in our class. Here are some pictures of what we have been up to this week.

This week KF1 explored two states of matter; solids and liquids. Students used various tools and materials to investigate the properties of ice by adding table salt, sea salt, water, apple cider vinegar and their breath to determine which substances melted ice the fastest. ❄️ 💧

We have been continuing to examine different states of matter. Yesterday we made slime. Ask you child if they had a chance to make it and explore the sticky substance with their hands.

What an adventure we had today. KF1 students got to ride Oakville Transit, some for the first time. We then got to paint a snowman canvas, build and play in the block & sand room, finished with a delicious pizza lunch. Ask your child about how many fairy doors they found! 🧚‍♀️

New year, new goals and aspirations. This week we have been busy creating vision boards to set our intentions for 2020. Some of our goals include being able to swim without our floaty’s.

We were so happy to join grade 4/5 students from Captain R Wilson today to chat about vision boards and to share our goals, hopes and dreams for 2020! Thanks again Mrs.Moniz!

Tomorrow is Christmas tree collection in the Oodenawi community so KF1 quickly ventured outside period 4 to collect as many as we could for our playground. We were able to find four on our walk. We can use them as forts or loose parts. Can’t wait to see what the children create.

Today is pink shirt day. Don’t forget to wear your pink to support anti bullying and spreading kindness
