The first flowers on Salvia hians, which we grew from seed last year. A hardy herbaceous perennial from the Himalayas, with impressive foliage as well as these very beautiful flowers. 😍😍

Lonicera x tellmanniana, in full bloom. A lovely orange flowered honeysuckle which is really attractive to the bees.

Had a fantastic day helping out Millwood Plants at the Rare Plant Fair at High Glanau Manor. Weather was fantastic and it was a good opportunity to look round the beautiful gardens and well as buy some unusual plants. It was great to see a houseplant nursery there this year too.

On Saturday 22nd June, at our Open Day, we will have this Salvia darcyi. Hardy perennial once established, it will produce masses of large scarlet red flowers on spikes up to around 4 feet. Originates from Central and North America.
