Great to see bipartisan support from state utility commissioners for technologies to get more capacity out of the existing grid. 🇺🇸’s grid needs both upgrades and expansions to deliver the lowest cost power to meet demand from America’s growing economy.

Interesting analysis here. The case for off-grid systems is an indictment of the interconnection processes that grid operators are currently offering. Seems like it could make sense for some to pursue this strategy and then connect to grid later if those processes ever catch up.

.@FERC approved PJM Interconnection "surplus interconnection" proposal, which will help new energy storage, wind and solar resources share interconnection capacity with existing power plants that aren't fully using it. A significant step forward! elibrary.ferc.gov/eLibrary/filel…

Tyler Norris Appreciate the shout out in your paper. Happy to chat with any regulators, utilities or hyper scalers that are looking for an energy flexible data center without compromising compute availability. verrusdata is building exactly that.

Yesterday, the Administration announced a wild scheme that empowers the Dept of Energy to subsidize any power plant in the country. It has no basis in the statute and clearly violates the Major Questions Doctrine. Here's the EO: whitehouse.gov/presidential-a…

The Dept of U.S. Department of Energy has been supporting development of US capacity to process Rare Earth Elements under the Infrastructure Act, Loan Programs Office & other programs that the Trump admin has either paused, already gutted or threatened to gut. You think there is an actual plan?
