We just returned from Jacksonville where Judge Robert Roupe denied another defense request to continue the felony death trial of Hunter Wells 🤮. It is not a felony murder trial, as it should be, jury selection will begin on 11/27 and the trial immediately after.

“I have offered the defendant a deal that I believe he will accept”- Mike Maultsby, senior ADA (six days prior to trial) Not, “… a deal that will serve as appropriate justice for your daughter’s homicide”.

A Felony Death trial was scheduled to begin on Tuesday, 11/28, but Hunter Wells accepted an offer from the State of NC to plead guilty in exchange for a gentle slap on the wrist. We will now be attending a sentencing hearing on 11/28. 💔😢

Please explain why investigators would falsify evidence logs in a “thorough, transparent investigation” Morgan’s wallet was found by the tow truck driver on the afternoon of 9/09/19. Time of collection is impossible!
