Great news! Out monitoring nest building activity with @mikes_nature for my BTO Tree Sparrow ringing project and delighted to find 26 of 40 boxes with nests and some natural sites at various stages from N1 to NL. Many birds building. Fingers-crossed for good breeding success.

Nice little milestone reached today for our Friends of Linn Park nest monitoring with @mikes_nature for 2022: just ringed our 100th chick. Birds ringed include Tawny Owl, Stock Dove, Blue Tit Great Tit and Robin. #BTONestRecordScheme

Been in my current house for 30 years and never seen a tree sparrow in my garden! Today 2 visited during a mist netting session. Now colour ringed as part of my local project taking YTD total to 62!
