It’s a remarkable thing, when a large portion of the school is involved in the FFA! “I believe in the future of agriculture.”

A truly special day for me as I got to go home to Butler County and spend the afternoon at East Butler. Had a great time visiting with Principal Mark Cidlik, student Chance Rohda who scored a perfect 36 on his ACT & his awesome parents Nate & Jenn, and bright East Butler students.

Just heard the news the East Butler were Class D champions at University of Nebraska-Lincoln Math Day yesterday. I got to meet these awesome kids on Friday and I’m not surprised. Congratulations on bringing the championship home to Butler County and we hope to see you on campus again soon! Go Tigers!

Linehan’s “Out of Control Spending”rhetoric is tired, stale, and inaccurate. Nothing costs the same - not personnel, not supplies, not fuel, not utilities as the year before. Local school boards deserve, as elected officials, to make these decisions. nebraskaexaminer.com/2024/07/25/law…

If the NE Leg passes the TABOR plan that Colorado uses then you can expect parents to pay 100% of non-required academic course expenses, that’s how it works in Colorado. Ask someone who had a student in band, or sports, or electives. Can be as much as $2K per year out of pocket.

I did this fun run again this morning at the conference in New Orleans. Learning is important, but Fitness is just as important to better serve my district!

#NCE2025 fun run, second year I have done this. I am blessed to be able to represent East Butler at the national level. I don’t have an after the race picture, but proud to have finished 3rd overall (20:55). That time is a PR for me.

December’s dose of Monthly Motivation comes from "the heart of the Bohemian Alps of Nebraska." Enter December with determination. “Determination lives in every corner of this district.” Thanks to East Butler superintendent Michael Eldridge for this message! ESU5 Mental Health Team
