Builders have been in our cottage now for 8 months. Great team, so on a Friday when I am home, I cook them a breakfast roll. Whatever the field, always important to reward excellence.

Huge crowds gathered today for the funeral of this great educationalist.

So, it’s happened! I guess it’s better than the alternative!! With demand high, a full diary and humbling feedback, I’ve no intention of retiring fully yet! Business as usual- just a little older and a lot wiser!

I find it impactful to work alongside governing bodies within their schools. Context is so important. Today my input is around the self -evaluation of the governing body itself and the planning of focussed visits within the established protocol.

One year on and today’s blood test result indicates that partner is currently cancer free. So grateful. Counting blessings.

Loving the Malvern Spring Show!

I am now ready to share that my father, John Glavin, died recently. Suddenly without suffering or loss of dignity. He was well, fiercely independent and enjoying life up to the end of his 87 years. He was playing bowls right up to the hour before his death! RIP Dad.

Dad had the send off he would have wanted. Don’t be sad. He loved life. Just hold close those you love. Don’t assume they will be here forever. Treasure every moment. I will be back to all things school on Monday.
