When Prime Minister Modi spoke of Muslim "infiltrators" who would steal Hindu women's jewellery, it was at a rally for the BJP candidate in Rajasthan's Banswara. Lets check in on Banswara to see how that went... Whoops, the BJP candidate lost by 247,000 votes

We had coalitions for 25 years and none of them prior to this were smart enough to give their regional party allies loads of World Bank money (instead of tax revenue) to keep them happy?

India is in unprecedented trouble. We're running out of Western things to be outraged about and ban. Down to airline sandwiches now. Serious supply-side crisis facing the decolonisation industry

One of the biggest concerns in Bangladesh at the moment are the attacks on The Daily Star and Prothom Alo, amongst the two most successful independent newspapers in the country. These attacks have primarily been instigated by YouTubers from abroad - who once targeted the Awami

‘Language is courage: the ability to conceive a thought, to speak it, and by doing so to make it true.’ At long last. Salman Rushdie’s The Satanic Verses is allowed to be sold in India after a 36-year ban. Here it is at Bahrisons Bookstore in New Delhi. 📸: Bahrisons Bookseller

Total nonsense from this grifter. The NI rules only apply to Indian companies in India, who send temporary workers to the UK for Indian Businesses, and not Indians on Work Visas being hired by UK businesses.

Japanese companies often make big decisions at the worst possible time, but I can't imagine a bigger fumble than discontinuing the Japan Company Handbook, the English version of the Shikiho, months before getting an endorsement from the world's most famous investor.

I see that Raanjhanaa, or however its spelled, is back in the news. Apparently they’ve changed the ending using AI. That couldn’t possibly have made it worse, though. It was one of the most awful movies ever made, as I pointed out 12 years ago
