One of the biggest mysteries to me is why the genius entrepreneur chose to go down in history as a bad politician. I know it's human nature to be distracted by power, but I thought a genius entrepreneur would overcome that.

Chatted with a first-time founder yesterday. He asked how I pick hypotheses to love. I’ve gone pragmatic—passion kicks in only with strong signs of audience validation. Not sure it’s right, because excitement can fuel a startup through tough times. What’s your take on that?

Just saw a startup hit $3M ARR, 90%+ retention, and 300% YoY growth—all bootstrapped. Now raising their first round. True achievement, unlike raising millions before validation with a TechCrunch press release.

Who needs a startup when you can have THIS kind of ‘dream job’?

The jump from "agents are nowhere close to working" to "okay, narrow agents for research and coding work pretty well" to (very recently) "general purpose agents are actually useful for a range of tasks" has been quick enough (less than a year) so that most people have missed it.

- Founders in their 20s: “I need to finish it within the next 8 hours because my investors can’t wait.” - Founders in their 30s–40s: “I need to finish it within the next 8 hours because my neck, back, and mental health can’t wait.”

Founders in their 20s: "Amazing! Friendship app raised $14M to take on the loneliness epidemic." Founders in their 30s–40s: "Is equity fundraising part of their monetization strategy?"

It partly makes sense - I can only imagine the effort he went through, but I still wonder why someone who sold two companies to Coca-Cola would advise others not to even try entrepreneurship. At the very least, launching your own business gives you hands-on education.
