Working hard on an incremental build system for the next release. Does anyone have a large app which would benefit from this? And let us use their app for benchmarks? 🦊 GitLab ? Anyone else?

Playing with making it easier to get up and running. Experimental: ``` npx middleman-docker init new-app ``` Can also copy the `middleman-docker` shell script to your path, but figured everyone has node these days.

Just released v4.3.0, which adds support for Bundler 2, moved completely to sassc and fixed some regressions. github.com/middleman/midd…

Also, here's the last 2 versions of Middleman: 4.3.0 - January 11, 2019 4.2.1 - January 26, 2017 Stable, simple software FTW. That said, 5.0 beta coming soon :)

The switch to SassC had some unintended side effects. 1. Not all gems are prepared to switch yet. Fixed in 2.3.1 (just released) 2. SassC generates source maps in modern JS, which broke old autoprefixer. Upgrade to middleman-autoprefixer v2.10.0

Okay v5.0.0.rc.1 is out. I’ll write a much longer document about changes (the official changlog is quite long) before release. For now it’s enough to upgrade and report regressions. Thank you.

Make sure your Gemfiles are locked to 4.x, because 5.x is right around the corner and will likely take a little time before all 3rd party extensions are compatible (mostly just a gem spec version range update on their end).

Want to use Github Actions with Middleman? Here's an example: github.com/middleman/midd… Middleman v5 will ship with an official Docker image. Seems reasonable to make an Action at the same time!

In testing Middleman v5 beta's incremental build system, we're seeing up to 5x speed improvement on VERY large sites (thousands of pages). Please test it out so we feel confident launching!

Make collaboration easier on your #JamStack website with our new Static Site editor introduced in 🦊 GitLab v12.10. It currently supports Middleman with others coming soon. Check it out: buff.ly/2VQnzOB

Poking my head up to say: 1. GitHub Sponsors is pretty cool. If you sponsor, Microsoft will match, which is helpful when I need to pay some server costs: github.com/sponsors/tdrey… 2. Please reach out if you're someone who wants to help. There's no core team, it's just tdreyno.
