After attending a larger meet this weekend at the Drake Relays there is no doubt the East & West Prelims can be held with full field sizes. They did a great job of hosting & made it a safe environment for all athletes and fans. NCAA Track & Field can do this too! #Reinstate48

We can safely #reinstate48 with proper protocols, as demonstrated in other @ncaa sports and schools. As a principal I can say we’ve had students & staff on campus since September without one known school transmission. Protocols work & athletes deserve a chance NCAATrackField

With many coaches and athletes now vaccinated, full field track meets going on, and the CDC loosening masks mandates for outdoor activities, there is absolutely no reason not to allow 48 athletes at the NCAA prelim. Looking forward to some positive news! #Reinstate48
