While fascinating, the idea of AI generating every UI on the fly is probably less likely than people think. The benefits of hyper customization likely won’t outweigh having to re-learn an app each time you use it or the risks of things breaking in unexpected ways.

Wonder what the path forward is - win the market by outliving competition (eventually funding dries out), become integral to user workflows, and then significantly raise prices? 🤔 Not sure infrastructure costs going down (as some argue) will solve the problem sufficiently.

The nuance about AI gross margins I was delighted to read. Opportunity is massive, but low GM can kill a business. But it seems there are more levers for AI startups to pull for a healthier GM profile. My concern would be keeping an eye on that path. a16z.com/questioning-ma…
