Well, depends on the era Before the modern era the most important cities were Rome, Constantinople & Beijing. They were the centre of Empires that shaped our world. Modern era; they're fairly obvious. London,Paris,NYC & Tokyo Overall winner i think is Rome but I'm tied biased.
