TAKING THE PLUNGE: Sharidan, Lorelei, Bailey, Andersen, and Zoe attended the Gaston County Polar Plunge Saturday at Lineberger Park in Gastonia. The event was a fundraiser to support the Special Olympics, and we understand that contributions totaled more than $8,000. Awesome!

Miss Gaston County Erin Emiroglu visited Hawks Nest STEAM Academy for the “One School, One Book” assembly that celebrated the students reading a book about toys and then creating their own toys. Erin enjoyed sharing with the students and seeing the toy projects they made.

WAY TO GO, Miss Gastonia’s Outstanding Teen! Ava Socarras had the opportunity to participate in the “Night to Shine” prom-like event for young people with special needs. The celebration was held at Weddington Methodist Church, and Ava had a great time making new friends.
