After some Lenticular Altocumulus clouds yesterday evening, awoke in the early hours to see some Noctilucent Clouds in the northern sky. First time I have seen these from the far north of Scotland.BBC Scotland Weather COL Weather.

A very interesting visit to Eskdalemuir Observatory yesterday. lt was wonderful to see the site along with many historical items and instruments as well as learn about the magnetic and seismic work done there by the British Geological Survey.

It's not something that happens very often here in the far north of Scotland. Beautiful autumn day with 5.3h of sunshine and a maximum wind gust of just 11kn
