954mb and still falling. #StormEowyn is wrecking the place. Hearing slates being blown of the roof.... Feels like the house is shaking at times.🌪🌪🌪🌪🌪🙁

A very slight increase in pressure, so right on the edge of the SW quadrant of the low pressure. Hold onto your hats, max winds for North Ayrshire on the way! #StormEowyn

Pressure 960mb and rising quickly. Now in the steepest pressure gradient and its really blowing now. Some wild gusts! #StormEowyn BBC Weather

Ooooft!!! Ground level in back garden I got 49 knot gust on my handheld annemometer. Upper winds will be double that. The low clouds are racing across the sky. Landline/internet down. BBC Weather #StormEowyn

Flying debris...?! No idea what it was but somthing just bounced off the upper room window, where I'm watching things from!😮 #StormEowyn BBC Weather

965mb now. Most of my garden fence is damaged or down. Lots of others too. Lot of rubbish blowing around. The shed of previous pic is now in bits. Looking at tree motion is showing wind backng. Still several hours strongest winds to go. 🙁 #StormEowyn Met Office BBC Weather

The met office red warning may have expired but the winds have not moderated! Still immense gusts. Took out a neighbours wall! Up to 979mb, must be very slow moving. #StormEowyn Met Office

Hello Glasgow Airport ✈️ what is the flash of light at the exit barrier? Are pictures being taken? If so, why? Who has access to them and how long are they kept? I didn't see any signs and I did not give my consent for my image to be taken. Is this GPDR compliant?

Now got broadband back after the flying garage hit telephone pole during #StormEowyn A true "weather bomb", a 25mb drop, straight down in only about 6 hours! A fairly rapid rise too! Met Office BBC Weather Cloud Appreciation Society

A beautiful night and captured a rare pure iron meteor spectrum. Blue/green lines all Fe. The bright yellow/orange part is huge thermal emission. Exactly the same principle as filament bulbs! BritAstro Royal Astronomical Society Popular Astronomy Astronomy Now Sky & Telescope #meteors #fireball

The power of spectroscopy! Two lovely bright meteors that look pretty much the same to the eye. Turns out they are completely different. One is rock the other iron. #1 is Type A, #2 is Type B Sky & Telescope Royal Astronomical Society #meteors #fireballs Jim Al-Khalili Astronomy Now

Perhaps only the second time a curvy meteor has been caught on video. (See youtu.be/E-hJha7Wbdw?si… ( Turns out I also got the spectrum!, although extremely faint (far left of image) turns out this one was pure Fe. Sky & Telescope Astronomy Magazine #fireballs #meteors
