Ever heard about a connection between nepmucin & #HDL metabolism? Read about our findings in the Journal of the endocrine society Endocrine Society Journals & a coding variant that links to decreased fasting HDL particles & diameter w/ Nikolaj Thure Krarup NNF Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) academic.oup.com/jes/article/6/… 🧵👇

Today I talked about my research on #ObesityIsNotAChoice & #Genomics NNF Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) at the Forskningens Døgn "science comedy show", where improv comedians used my science story to perform. Such a great evening and experience - thanks to Steffen H. Raun for inviting me #scicomm

🌞 DDA SUMMER SCHOOL ON DIABETES & METABOLISM FOR PHD STUDENTS 2022 At the DDA Summer School, participants get knowledge about novel aspects and most recent developments within diabetes and metabolism at a high level. ⏳ REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 6 June danishdiabetesacademy.dk/events/dda-sum…

I am very excited to see this officially published! Thank to UK Biobank we have been able to identify hundreds of associations between liking of specific foods and genetic variants increasing our understanding of the role of genetics in food behavior. go.nature.com/37Uj3J1

A full day of discussing variant-to-function research at the @tuomaskilpela group retreat in Præstø is over and we are now going over to the non-science part of the day. Enjoying this a lot NNF Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) #V2F #Science

Kicking off the CRISPR Workstream at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Genomic Mechanisms of Disease Broad Institute. Videos on, plenty of interactions, mostly junior scientists and a great presentation by @gretapinta from Kasper Lage lab.

Thrilled to see our publication about the connection between nepmucin & #HDL metabolism highlighted in the Endocrine Society Journals thematic issue on #lipids and #adipocytes. Check the publication here academic.oup.com/jes/article/6/… 🧐📰 Nikolaj Thure Krarup NNF Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR)

Check out the exciting findings about protein homeostasis via brain-to-gut communication from the Hoppe Lab CECAD Cologne published in Nature Communications 🧐📰 congrats to everyone involved

A postdoctoral position is now open in my Group at NNF Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR)! Please get in touch if you are interested in genomics, precision medicine, and cardiometabolic diseases candidate.hr-manager.net/ApplicationIni…. Please RT #hiringnow #AcademicTwitter #research

My maternity leave is over & I am diving back into science 🧪 in the Melina Claussnitzer, Ph.D. lab Broad Institute 🇺🇸 as a visiting PhD student from NNF Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) 🇩🇰 I am super excited to work in this stellar research environment 🌟 and work on V2F in adipocytes. Thx for having me 🧑🔬

It's already amazing to join Broad Institute as a visiting scientist, but even better sharing this experience with my family 👪 Academic Mom, PhD #womeninscience

Very excited to share my first author contribution to our single cell study in Nature Metabolism🥳! The peculiar SWAT cell develops from the same progenitor as adipocytes, secretes extracellular matrix and is multipotent... Read more 🧐👉nature.com/articles/s4225…

Final day of the 2023 ARDD Meeting is on. Time to say thanks 🙏 for a fantastic meeting and for giving me the chance to present a snapshot of our work in SkM 💪 - "Why fast glycolytic muscle decline first during aging". Spoiler 🚨: It's all about metabolism 😉 NNF Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR)

Off with team NNF Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) to meet colleagues at NNF Center for Genomic Mechanisms of Disease at Broad Institute/MIT & Harvard! Looking forward to great scientific discussions on genomics & medicine Broad Institute Novo Nordisk Foundation Plus fall colors 🍁!

🧬Today the annual Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Genomic Mechanisms of Disease Meeting starts at Broad Institute. I am excited for some interesting days, meeting people and talk #V2F science. On top, Boston is treating us with beautiful weather 🍂☀️ - can it get any better?🧐
