Thanks Maria Caulfield CBE for meeting with #mesh campaigners today to discuss how to improve specialist mesh centres & tackling financial redress to improve the lives of women whose health has been irreversibly harmed @EmmaHardyMP
One of the 9 First Do No Harm recommendations was financial redress delivered using a non-adversarial process. NHS Resolution is NOT the answer as it’s a litigious process that’s stressful & relies on women proving blame Maria Caulfield CBE Patient Safety Commissioner @EmmaHardyMP APPG for First Do No Harm
Conflicts of Interest in medicine: taking money from industry without telling anybody, poses a serious risk to research integrity & #patientsafety Its rife & has been a MASSIVE problem in healthcare for decades. It played a huge role in #mesh #primodos scandals Patient Safety Commissioner
