Growing up, I was the youngest. I'm the baby of the family, but raised as an only child. A strange dynamic! Anyway, I always read books above my grade. If I didn't know what a word meant, I'd look it up. It was something I was constantly told to do. I wish people still did that.

I made the choice to do the emergency vet visit. She was in pain. 18 years I had my sweet, furry Gir. My best friend. My strong, brave, adventurous fur baby. She crossed the rainbow bridge tonight. I miss her so much.

A little over 13 months ago, I lost a parent. I suddenly went through multiple medical and mental crises. Filed for disability. Put my 18 year old kitty down 2 weeks ago and now my other parent is actively dying and on hospice. I'm tired.

My other parent passed this morning. They're both gone. Lived long lives, and now they are at peace.
