I’m liking how this stitch pattern is coming together for this sweater. It’s fiddly and each row takes more time than I’d like but I think it will be worth it in the end.

Normally I cook a huge feast for my family on Easter but this year there are only 4 of us here (normally we have at least 12 guests). I just picked our favorites, ham, potatoes au gratin, and fresh sourdough bread. We’ll roast peeps over a campfire for dessert later.

Roasted peeps accomplished! The sugar on the outside caramelizes and gets really hot. Husband to kids, “Be careful not to burn your tongue.” 5 minutes later… husband, “Ow ow ow!” He didn’t listen to his own advice.

Knitting at a coffee shop today. I timed my progress. I’m a generally fast knitter but it took me 15 minutes to work the 2 row repeat. This sweater is gonna take a while. Centimeter by centimeter.

Centimeter by centimeter. It’s coming along. In ballet class with my daughter earlier this week, a little girl was playing with the ball of yarn pretending it was a hamburger and grilling it. Now all I see is raw hamburger meat while I’m knitting. 😂 🍔
