It was most likely not the force of the hit but the timing of when the hit occurred. We will learn more in the coming days but to minimize a serious injury because a hit “didn’t look like much” overlooks the mechanisms in which cardiac events can occur.

Best circumstance cardiac arrest is what happened: witnessed, immediate CPR and defib, quick transfer to ER (built for exactly this). The rest in God’s hands. Praying for the rare outcome here.
