Spending the last day of my electives camping out in the stairwell waiting for my supervisor to be done with clinic to sign me off! Been waiting for 4 hours ๐Ÿ˜‚ The things youโ€™re willing to endure as a lowly medical student..... ๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Just got around to watching Dr @sabenaj 's lectures on professionalism for our year 5 curriculum! So much insight and food for thought for the year ahead. So incredibly humbled and reminded me of the person/doctor I should strive to be. What a great start to final year. โœจ

No more Mr Nice Guy, meet Professor Angry Bird. While it may be the paper cut of unconscious gender bias, untitling still stings just the same. So I will be sending more email replies like this from now on.

An amazing first day at #ASiT2022 attending so many inspirational talks and speaking to different surgical trainees who gave so much advice on training, research and their chosen specialty โญ๏ธ

I completed my doctoral thesis at Oxford last year on Russia's military interventions in Ukraine and Syria. Based on that research, I am sharing some thoughts on why Russia invaded Ukraine and what Putin might do next /1

The most important lesson I've learned in the last year: Burnout isn't just the result of too much work. It's the TYPE of work. And, more specifically, your emotional connection to it. Burnout comes from feeling like no matter how much you do, it will never be enough.

Beyond delighted to have passed both parts of the MRCS this year. I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am for the emotional support I have received from family, friends and peers - there was no absolute way I could have done it without them๐Ÿ™ definitely took a village!๐Ÿ˜๏ธ

Dear Jr Drs that I manage. If u booked leave, & we agreed it - go on holiday and forget about work (& donโ€™t use ur phone driving) If another dr didnโ€™t turn up for the shift -itโ€™s my problem and not yours! Itโ€™s worrying @NHS_HealthEdEng. think this is correct guidance

Reading @mindbodymiko โ€˜s Emotional Female whilst on neurosurgery nights. Canโ€™t remember the last time I felt so understood (& a fellow international school kid!) but some parts of it really is hitting close to home. Can confirm tears were shed. ๐Ÿ˜‚ would highly recommend!

Life of a โ€œjuniorโ€ doctor in #NHS Training-broken Covering rota gaps Competing with others for training opportunities Pay out of sync with inflation Lack of senior posts Now throw in watching seniors justify the above And tell me Why IS the morale so low Why is it so low
