Okay I'm going down the "name a gluestick " route in the hope of keeping hold of a few more of them. Favourite names for the first 12 letters of the alphabet?

Behaviour wise that was one of the most mental two weeks in my 20 year career. Nuts. And we are a good school. Cost of living, covid impact, lack of support/ social care/ police. Schools are the front line. Unsustainable.

This week's highlight was a student asking for a cutting from one of my plants and returning the favour with two cuttings for me 🥰

If you think fertilized eggs are people but parents who've crossed the oceans with their kids aren't, stop pretending your concerns are religious.

Let's talk about duty. Disabled people do not have a duty to work unsuitable jobs. Let's get that clear. The government *does* have a duty to not dehumanise the million disabled people who want to work but are denied the chance. It’s a duty the government is failing on 🧵 1/7

A reminder that some students will have had an absolute terrible time over the last two weeks… time to slap on a smile and show them that someone really cares… someone really really wants them to succeed… someone is fighting their corner. Change a life, be that someone.

I don’t think it’s spoken about enough how teachers (including myself!) manage to step up every single day in front of their classes, despite all of the emotional turmoil/personal issues they face themselves. It’s something that goes unnoticed too often and needs to be aired.
