SOFTBALL: Union County 7, Habersham Central 0 - F Five different Lady Panthers drove in a run in the season opener, beginning with Mary Wischmeyer's (📷) two-out, RBI single in the bottom of the first. UC will play Commerce at 3 p.m.

Megan Bright picked up the win for UC in a complete game shutout.

SOFTBALL: Union County 15, Putnam County 0 - F (3) Megan Bright 📷 faced the minimum & fanned 5 in a 3-inning no-hitter. Miranda Lockaby 📷 sparked the offensive onslaught with a 1st-inning RBI 2B as 11 different Lady Panthers would drive in a run. UC is now 3-0 in Region 8-AA
