There is no man, not one, who is completely good. No human being that has absolute moral superiority or high ground. For we are fundamentally broken. We are all sinners. Many of us do not have Goodwill or act in good faith. Not all of us are good intentioned.

There will be those who weaponize our compassion, our ideals, and our values. Though we those who will use our own idealism as a means to either oppress us, control us, or destroy us. There will be those who will try to force us into their worldview.

For those who believe in a Utopia, I cannot help but pity you. I cannot help but feel sorry for you. Your naivety and sometimes maybe even your delusion has blinded you to the truth. The perfect world does not exist. It cannot exist. Because humans are flawed.

In order for a perfect world to exist everyone has to think the same, which is literally impossible. You have to strip a human being of their identity, their values, their true beliefs, their principles, and the things that make them who they are.

Everyone has to conform to one simple order. When you take away the individual of who they are, and force the individual to conform to the collective, and in many cases as a result, the state, you lead everyone to a path of destruction.

Ideals are not necessarily that either though. There's always the ideal outcome but sometimes the idea is just unrealistic or downright impossible. You realistically cannot accomplish every single ideal. Simply trying will kill you. Burn you out until you have nothing left.

Pure idealism can blind you to reality sometimes. I know it blinded me from time to time. Especially when I was much younger than I am today. There were times where I was too naive for my own good. And times where I was too cynical. But it's a cynical world we live in.

In many ways it always has been. But there's also hope in there when you actually look into it. It's one of the reasons why I used to make a lot of posts explaining why we shouldn't have to worry about what we can't control. And focus on what we can.

I know, it's pretty stoic of me to say, but the thing is if we focus too much on what we can't control, it'll slowly destroy us from the inside. We risk pushing ourselves way too hard and burning ourselves out until we lose hope of anything at all.

There's only so much you can do as a human being. And there's no shame in admitting that. There's no shame in wanting to do better or wanting things to be better but you also have to understand that sometimes you have to accept things for how they are.

It's not defeat to accept that the ideal world does not exist and never will. That doesn't mean the world can't be better. You just can't have a Utopia. You shouldn't try to reach the impossible. Trying to do so will kill you metaphorically or sometimes literally.

You can't change human nature. You can't change the fact that while we are capable of great things and acts of good and virtue, we're also just as capable of committing great acts of evil depravity and harm. That while we are capable of being virtuous, we can also be full of vice

We as human beings will always be constantly at war with ourselves. With one aspect of ourselves fighting the other for our heart and our soul. It's like I said, like many before me have said, there is no man, not one who is good.

"Let's be friends." No. I don't have time for fake people who are more about scoring popular points or worldview points, and will stab me in the back over differences of opinion and views. Not anymore. I'm done being nice and being liked by everyone.

Wow, being in the hospital and having my gallbladder removed really made me pass the point of caring anymore.... Cause I'm no longer concerned about being liked anymore. Less so than I did prior. This month was a huge wake-up call for me.
