What a weekend! Build-a-burger with a beer on Friday night. Partner took me out for dinner on Saturday night. Lovely romantic setting, just us, which we haven’t done for a while. Exeter Chiefs Women this afternoon with a fantastic win over Leicester Tigers.

It’s 2:36am and I’m in A&E with my Mum. We arrived just before midnight and have been told we won’t be seen until at least 6am. It’s hard when a loved one is in a lot of pain seeing what a mess our NHS is in. Full of admiration for the hard working staff who are keeping it going

Using a relational approach does not mean having no boundaries. It does not mean allowing students to do whatever they choose. It does make a difference to the relationships you build and the outcomes for some very vulnerable students.

Using the holidays to catch up on things that don’t happen in term time…like reading for pleasure. Just finished The Last List of Mabel Beaumont by Laura Pearson Shed tears of different emotions in different places. So much beauty.

What a shame there’s a need for Pride events. However, the comments / responses to these posts on social media platforms demonstrate exactly why education is unfortunately still very much necessary.

Inspired by Mr P MBE When I started teaching: The door to the boys’ toilet was hidden behind smoke from the smokers’ staff room I had my nose pierced in Summer and was scared I’d be asked to remove the tiny stud when term started We all went to the pub for lunch on a Friday!
