Through a combination of knock in, knock down experiments in cell lines and human derived macrophages, we could demonstrate that GIMAP5 and 6 are antiviral against Herpes Virus ! We could swap domains of bacterial Eleos in place of domain of GIMAPs, protein is still active!🦠👩‍🔬
