Paul mcgonigalgroup visited us at RWTH Aachen University during his Liebig lectureship. We learned a lot on the dynamics of organic molecules at the limits of carbon-carbon bonding. Thank you for the visit Paul and thank you for making it possible GDCh.

Reed Izatt’s daughter Anne Marie has shared with me the sad news that Reed passed away on Oct 29 at aged 97. RIP. The first International Izatt-Christensen Award was presented at the 1991 Symposium on Macrocyclic Chemistry in The University of Sheffield. The pantheon of winners is legendary.
