Thank you teachers, parents, and students for a well attended 6th & 7th grade orientation. I can’t wait to see some of these moves in action at their first dance! See you Thursday students!

My challenge to educators this week is to go find the silent voice, go check in and chat with a student who often goes unnoticed or heard! Every child deserves an advocate and voice! Bring a smile to everyone!

#ThoughtForTheDay Accept the fact that sometimes the path to greatness is lonely. We must continue to strive to be our best version of us. After all, how could we ask others to do the same if we aren’t willing to do this ourselves?...via #Culturize

When you have a growth mindset, you see yourself as a work in progress. You focus on the process, not perfection. You realize mistakes are part of learning. You push yourself out of your comfort zone. You treat your brain as a muscle that needs training to be its best.

Maybe instead of focusing on “classroom management” we need to focused on planning... preparation... engagement... & active learning! It shouldn’t be about “managing” kids; it should be about providing kids multiple pathways to access learning! #HackingLeadership #edchat

For some students, school feels like a constant reminder of weaknesses. I had a student recently tell me how stupid she is. It was heartbreaking to hear. Students desperately need to have their strengths recognized. It's not "Are you smart?" It's "How are you smart?"
