As a school social worker, I’d much rather focus on identifying cases of symptomatic depression than asymptomatic COVID.

I would like to thank all of NYC’s Kindergartners with disabilities for masking up in speech therapy today so that my 18,000 maskless friends and I could safely gather at the Rangers game tonight without worrying about COVID!

We are teaching kids they don’t matter.  In 2021 schools were the last thing to reopen. In 2022 children are the last group of people to unmask. The future of our country should not be treated as an afterthought. It’s time to put children’s needs first.

As you enjoy a fun Saturday night out, kindly keep in mind: The average 2-year-old's vocabulary is 50 words. The average 5-year-old's vocabulary is >2000 words. As of Monday, toddlers will be the only NYC residents forced to mask all day. I have no words. And nor will they.

Hospitalizations are at their lowest point since March 2020. Everyone has access to vaccines, boosters, therapeutics, and optional N95s. How many lives will be saved by Philadelphia children with learning disabilities being forced to wear cloth masks again next week?
