The humble swede was originally introduced (in multiple areas) as animal fodder, intended to fill the 'Hungry Gap'. As poor people can't be too picky (the Napoleonic wars also had an impact ofc), it soon became part of our diet (primarily oop North and in the Southwest).

Obviously with temperatures forecast to soar to 'quite warm' my days are numbered; the English aren't built to cope with this kind of climactic extreme.

Other than my PC, I'm not much of a gadget hound but our awning (our *electrically operated* awning for bonus bourgeoisie points) is a godsend. Lucy thoroughly approves (bonus canine points).

I'm going to rest on my oars for the forseeable. Please accept this going away chicken* with my compliments and best wishes for the future. *It's an Onagadori, first bred in the Tosa province during the Sengoku period, proving once again that it's an ill wind that blows etc.
