"You can be the most talented player, but without discipline, you’ll never reach your full potential. You can have all the right pieces on a team, but without discipline, you will always underachieve. Discipline is what separates the good teams from the great teams."

Consistency - The great athlete is consistent; the lows are not too low, & the highs are not too high. They operate on an even keel. In other words, you know what you are going to get they show up every day. The spectacular comes from the consistency in training and competition.

Everyone wants the result of greatness but avoids the work required to get there. It’s boring. It’s a sacrifice. It’s inconvenient. It’s a commitment to show up each day, do the work and live the standard. It’s a lifestyle of being disciplined. The work is the shortcut. 🪵🪓

In pressure situations, stay completely focused on the task at hand. Keep your mind occupied so there's no room for fear to enter.

🎯 Goals without COMMITMENT & HARD WORK are merely wishes. 🎯 Standards without HOLDING PEOPLE ACCOUNTABLE are merely suggestions. 🎯 Captains without the RESPECT of their team are merely figureheads. 🎯 Talk without the ACTIONS to back them up are merely words. #CultureWins

Stage 1: Difficult. It’s new and uncomfortable. Stage 2: Tolerable. You’re a little better, confidence grows, small wins. Stage 3: Enjoyable. You’re seeing results, stacking successes. Difficult, tolerable, enjoyable. Repeat. Progress is a process. Do the work. 🪵🪓

Champions don't play for easy, they play for the edge. They know success is earned, not given. Push harder, aim higher, be relentless. Average stops where the road ends, champions build the road as they go.

Your habits are either closing or widening the gap between who you are and who you want to be. They are unlocking your potential or limiting your potential. Don’t hope for it, work for it. 🪵🪓

You can’t win the day unless you win the moment. And then the next moment. And then the next moment. Be present. Focus on what is in front of you.

Discipline is a choice before it’s a habit. Greatness is a choice before it’s a habit. Commitment is a choice before it’s a habit. Resilience is a choice before it’s a habit. Progress is made one choice at a time. Do the work.

Consistency compounds. Small steps repeated over time lead to big gains. Don't aim to be consistently great. Aim to be great at being consistent.

John Wooden said we, “Earn the right to be proud and confident.” How is Confidence Earned? - Work Ethic - Consistency - Daily Habits - Preparation - Growth Mindset - Positive Self-Talk - Experience Gained - A Winning Mentality - Persistence & Resilience Earn It!

How we respond to resistance (adversity, obstacles, setbacks) reveals our commitment to and belief in the vision and ourselves. Hard days happen. Keep showing up. 🌨️🦬

While it is the quality of our actions that separate us from the opposition on the scoreboard, it is quality of our decisions that defines the actions. The score, then, is the sum of our decisions.
