The government argued, when making their visa changes, that not allowing care workers to bring dependents would only cause a drop in dependents, not care workers.

First month suggests that's very much not true and, on their own analysis, is a big problem.

It is the government's job to eradicate child poverty.
There has been a suggestion that NI can't afford to remove the 2-child policy. For the sake of our children, families & public services we can not afford to keep it.
It has and will plunge hundreds of families into poverty.

We've published an updated briefing on our key asks and next steps.

We hope that members and elected representatives will advocate for these asks in their daily work. They will go a long way to protecting those affected by financial hardship and poverty.

We're aware of a lot of discussion of historic abuse online today. Everyone needs support sometimes. It's so important to look after yourself and ask for help if you need it, or take a social media break. We have put together a list of support services.
