I delegated to Halton Catholic DSB on this topic almost exactly one year ago (Oct 19, 2021) urging them to make the change before a court forces them to do so. And here we are. Several of those trustees who voted against are running for re-election. We could have been #leaders. #OntEd #Halton

We're so proud to be partnering with Ben & Jerry's Canada on this! You can find all our coverage of school board elections at antihate.ca/school_boards. And remember - elections aren't won on Twitter. Get out the vote to make sure that all youth are protected. Their future is at risk.

“I would argue that the decisions that trustees are making have an impact on all of us." One section of the ballot is often ignored by voters in the municipal election, and some far-right groups are taking advantage. toronto.citynews.ca/2022/10/13/sch…

A team of Gr. 7 students St. Gregory has launched an online school newspaper! The first issue was published today - a link has been shared with staff & students! Enjoy, to paraphrase the New York Times, "all the St Gregory news that's fit to print"! #TheStGregoryTimes Halton Catholic DSB

At $200.00 a student for Halton Catholic DSB this money would add up to about $7M that could be used for resources and supports for our classrooms. Not to mention the additional money for spec Ed students. It could also be used to pay EA’s a proper wage. Individual payouts make zero sense.
