Congratulations to Midori Valdivia, who today was confirmed as the next Commissioner and Chair of the Taxi and Limousine Commission by the City Council – bringing a new era to the 55-year-old agency that regulates the city’s taxi and for-hire vehicle industries.

A New Era! Commissioner Midori Valdivia spent her first day on the job listening to drivers and learning from their experiences. We want to hear from as many of you as we can and this is just the first step. Stay tuned.

In this new era, we are putting drivers, passengers and families at the center. They should be rewarded for the work they do, and feel dignity and respect while doing it.
