A golfing landmark achieved today my 700th course. Played a round at Titirangi #NewZealand. Spotted this emblem of East Devon Golf Club on the course. Homeward bound tomorrow. 😀

Round 3 on my top 50 European road trip took me to Kennemer a 1928 Harry Colt classic still played to its original layout. A traditional club with a warm welcome and excellent food. Well done to Jo for seeing the round through, in pouring rain and high winds.

Round 4 of my European road trip took me to the Hamburger Golf club in Hamburg Germany. Considered by many to be the best in Germany. Designed by Harry Colt and recently had the bunkers upgraded by Frank Pont. A true Heathland Gem in superb condition

Round 5 of my European road trip took me to Budersand on the Island of Sylt in Northern Germany. German Resort of the year . A first, crossing to the Island on a Car Train. The finest true Links I have played outside GB&I . My 11.8 hcap off the Yellows gave 17 shots. All used !!

Round 6 of our European Tour takes us into Denmark. First stop is the Great Northern owned my the owners of Lego. Designed by J Nicklaus opened in 2017. Big,Bold and Brash incorporating 7 man made Lakes. Great rooms and Hospitality. Shame it rained and blew a gale !!

Rounds 7&8 were at the Scandinavian on the outskirts of Copenhagen. Another high budget resort with 2 excellent courses in excellent condition the Old is more wide open with water and numerous dog legs. The new is much tighter with the back nine the best nine on the property.

Round 9 of our Top 50 European golf trip took us over the Malmo Bridge into Sweden.The venue was Falsterbo a brilliant true links with many ponds and reeds. The routing hasn't changed since designed in the 30's. Very flat and subject to the elements.Well bunkered. Loved it .

Round 10 of our European top 50 golf tour takes us to Kristianstads East Course. A excellent course that has been rejuvenated by the family of H&M. Excellent facilities for the members and guests. Not sure of the need to have added the artificial streams and ponds! Great Day !!

Round 11 of our top 50 European tour involved taking a Car Ferry from the Swedish mainland to the island of Gotland. The course Visby was completely redesigned by Pierre Fulke in 2007. A brave move for a members club. The result has been magnificent. My favourite course on trip
