I don’t know what will happen this fall when schools across the US should be opening, but I do know that worrying about it will not change anything. Try your best to enjoy your summer break when it comes and focus on your mental health.

After finishing a virtual assessment, this first grader asked if she could read a book to me. How could I say no? #readersareleaders ❤️📚

And with that last Zoom meeting, my first year of teaching has come to an end. It has been a rollercoaster of a year to say the least, but I have learned so much and become a stronger teacher because of it. We had a blast learning together. Those kiddos have my heart forever❤️📚

Ms. Lewis’ first grade Holiday Read Aloud Countdown is still happening this year! Counting down the days from Thanksgiving to winter break with some of our new favorite books! 🎄📚❤️

After we brainstormed some awesome ideas for “how to” writing, we took some time by the fireplace to turn our ideas into fabulous writing pieces last week! Super proud of my firsties!🔥📝

We loved ‘The Biggest Christmas Tree Ever’ by Steven Kroll today! We learned about the awesome things we can do when we work together…like finding and decorating the biggest Christmas tree ever! 🎄

We learned the true meaning of the holidays with ‘The Longest Christmas List Ever’ and then had some giggles with ‘If You Take a Mouse to the Movies’. Only five more school days till break🎄

Back to School Night last night was so great! Looking forward to seeing what year four brings👩🏼‍🏫❤️
