1/2. Good warm and windy afternoon! I hope you are enjoying the last day of unseasonable weather for 2022! This sight prompted the subtle reminder that there are somethings that should NOT be done with the current weather. My travels today in the NOT category- raking E-W;

2/2 - spreading broadcast P&K; and AA 82% application which I witnessed this morning- I couldn’t stop as my lungs would have collapsed. And to boot, though not my call-a grower sliding thru the field with a moldboard plow-turning it black; as for quality of tillage not so much so

Amen. Fungicides are a valuable tool and with prior valid knowledge of host tolerance (or susceptibility); pathogen presence; and environmental conditions- then an informed decision can be made. In certain situations, a mid V stage application “may” make economic sense.

Great last 12 months for SCN. Early results indicate that 10,000 eggs/100cc soil will be too easy of a threshold to reach. Uffda.
