Very nice meeting my teacher, Prof. Sher Jamal Khan from my Alma Mater #NUST after almost 10 years at #KAUST. His talk highlighted the differences in academia and consulting worlds and how to overcome these differences in the context of Water Engineering.

It feels like the appeal of research has shifted. Without #AI, #BigData, or #Modeling, a project doesn’t draw the same attention it once did. In Water Engineering, experimental research, once the core drive, doesn’t seem to carry the same weight it did just 2-3 years ago.
