Israeli police fired at Palestinian protesters yesterday at Al-Aqsa Mosque. More than 200 people were injured. Protesters were showing support for Palestinian families facing eviction in occupied East Jerusalem. The United Nations has called Israel's forced evictions a potential war crime.

Israeli forces injured at least 90 Palestinians in occupied East Jerusalem. Tens of thousands of Palestinians had gone to pray at Al Aqsa Mosque on one of the holiest nights in Ramadan. Earlier, police blocked buses of Palestinians from northern Israel from reaching Jerusalem.

At least 53 people in occupied Gaza have been confirmed killed by Israeli air strikes, 14 of whom are children. Gaza’s hospitals — already stretched thin by the #COVID19 pandemic — are near a breaking point say doctors. Israel’s PM Netanyahu said: “This is just the beginning.”

Israeli police have blocked entrances to #SheikhJarrah with barricades for 2 weeks. Palestinians say police let Israeli settlers — who want to displace Palestinian families — move freely, but restrict Palestinian access. Some fear leaving home in case they are not allowed back.

South Africa's president, Cyril Ramaphosa 🇿🇦, said Israeli treatment of Palestinians brought back terrible memories of apartheid in South Africa. He also said "Palestinians want their own self-determination rights. They want their own state."
