“While I was just sitting here, both of my children are gone…” An injured elderly Palestinian man, rescued from under the rubble, is devastated after an Israeli warplanes bombed their home in Al Zaytoun eighbourhood, Gaza City, killing two of his children.

Charles has been keeping track of most if not all Israeli airstrikes and incursions on Syria since December last year and is a great source on Syria👇

.Geir O. Pedersen I strongly condemn Israel’s continued and escalating violations of Syria’s sovereignty, including multiple airstrikes in Damascus and other cities.

Seeing posts floating about saying the United Kingdom Foreign Office condemns the Israeli airstrikes in Syria. Can’t see a source and can’t see anything on their X feed…

Can’t shake off the feeling that Syria is about to face an even more difficult test this year than anything before. Time is running out for the interim government to sort itself out.

#Syria: the Government launched the Ugarit-2 project - in collaboration with US company "Unifi" - aiming to upgrade the submarine cable between Cyprus and #Tartus and double Syria's internet capacity. The 250-km-long submarine cable will eventually be replaced.

IMHO This is the best way to fight the occupation. Upholding international & human rights law, pursuing perpetrators one by one and naming them so the whole world knows they murdered a child who had nothing to do with Hamas…

Whenever Israel attacked Assad, Assad would bomb Syrians. Now the Houthis attack Israel, and guess what? The Israelis bomb Syrians too. لك كس اخت حظنا

Good to speak with BBC today vis-a-vis Israel's ongoing war on Gaza. There is little expectation for any ceasefire deal, because there is little desire to end the war from Tel Aviv's side, as Israeli politicians have repeatedly said.

Actually, Israel has occupied Gaza since 1967. What has changed is the depth of suffering Palestinians had under that occupation (now utterly disgraceful). Also, Israel will deepen its occupation irrespective of the next two weeks, and seek to get Palestinians out.

News flash: Gaza has been occupied since 1967. Withdrawing the army and illegal settlers unilaterally whilst controlling its airspace, borders, and maritime rights doesn’t turn it into an independent country that could have “turned into Singapore”, it turns it into a prison.

For fourteen years, we were gaslit into believing Assad was the least-worst option in Syria. Now he’s gone, and somehow the Syrian rebel-turned-government looks like the least-worst option in the entire Middle East.
