In recognition of award-winning filmmaker Charles Officer’s significant contributions to the Canadian screen industry, TIFF and CBC will honour his legacy with a new annual award for a writer/director whose body of work exemplifies Officer’s values, artistry, and vision.

This is essentially an admission from the Toronto Police that their year after year of police budget increases have no tangible impact on reducing crime rates.
