IT'S FREEZING IN #MAUMELLE! 🥶So, protect the FOUR Ps! Check on PEOPLE susceptible to extreme temperatures (such as elderly). Give PETS a warm place to sleep. Wrap exposed water PIPES (& let faucets drip) to prevent them from freezing. And cover PLANTS to prevent frost damage.

Today, your #Maumelle firefighters responded for a small fire in the woods north of Ouachita Drive. With increased risk of wildfire, Pulaski County, AR has issued a BURN BAN. Per city code, camp fires are not allowed. Fire pits & fireplaces must be enclosed or covered with mesh screen.

RED FLAG WARNING in effect until 7 PM! Strong winds & low relative humidity can allow a fire to spread rapidly. Open burning is banned throughout Pulaski County. Your #Maumelle firefighters ask that you use caution when using barbecues or discarding smoking materials.

After more than three hours on scene of the St. Joseph's fire, your #Maumelle #firefighters returned home shortly after 9 pm. Maumelle Tower 2 was one of three aerial trucks utilized to help bring the large, wind-fed fire under control. #ARnews

#Maumelle & NLR #firefighters arrived to fire & smoke showing from a home on Crystal Hill Rd this afternoon. Following an aggressive attack, Tower 2's aerial was used to knock down heavy fire, which spread through the attic. One occupant & one firefighter suffered minor injuries.

Despite recent rainfall & lush vegetation, it seems the chance of fire isn't zero. Your #Maumelle #firefighters just cleared the scene of a burning tree on Crystal Hill Road.

Veterans Day began 106 years ago today as Armistice Day to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the end of World War I on Nov. 11, 1918. We thank our Maumelle veterans, including some of our own firefighters, who've protected the freedoms we enjoy as a result of their service.

Your #Maumelle firefighters gathered on the White Oak overpass to pay tribute to Conway FD Asst. Chief Bill Keathley, who passed away following a battle with cancer. Services for Chief Keathley will be at 1 pm on Wed., Dec. 10, at the Antioch Baptist Church in Conway.
