Potentially a hot take, but Afroman's victory against police corruption is more inspiring than any PoC or Minority story pushed on us by Hollywood in the last 6+ years.

Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring - it was peace. Milan Kundera

All of us dog people know the sad truth that comes along with loving a dog. When you sign up for the hello, you sign up for the goodbye, too. Somewhere deep down, the first day you meet, you already know how the story will go. You know one day the goodbye will come - but you do

First, fuck off. Ok, now we’re locked in, I sincerely wish you all the best. The world is brutal. Uncaring, wanting its own at your expense and indifferent to your losses. Leaving no safe haven for reprieve and rejuvenation. Yet the want to interdigitate and be fiercely loyal

Yup. Becoming a stick has incredible long-term upside. You’ll make connections through golf which will rival any you’d get through an Ivy League education. The game can take you to come cool places if you know what you’re doing.

This is also exactly right. It’s less about the end product (becoming scratch) and more about the work ethic required to get there. There’s a quiet confidence to guys that are good players. Carries over into other parts of life.
